Washington, Aug 24 : Have you tried out every trick in the book to lose weight &#8211; crash diets, gyms, or simply starving yourself? Now, try a simple trick &#8211; drink a glass or two of water before meals, as that&#8217;s the best way to curb appetite and shed those pounds &#8211; says a new research.<br />
&#8220;In this recent study, we found that over the course of 12 weeks, dieters who drank water before meals, three times per day, lost about 5 pounds more than dieters who did not increase their water intake,&#8221; said Brenda Davy of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.</strong></p>

Note:  these are not for those that had a bad week or didn&#8217;t lose in the last two week.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a synopsis on what to try:<br />
1. Take your measurements (make sure you are in a stall)<br />
2. Start a food diary (Fitday, SparkPeople)<br />
3. Evaluate what you are eating<br />
4. Tweak exercise &#8211; &#8220;try 5&#8243;<br />
5. Cut out certain groups (dairy, aspartame, caffiene, newly tried food groups)<br />
6. Post your menu&#8217;s at online support group sites<br />
7. Fasting diet (Fat Fast or Stillman&#8217;s Diet) for those with extreme metabolically resistance</p>

Mock danishes were one of the new comfort foods that I learned how to cook and was used to kill cravings that threatened the diet early on. Some qualifications for Kent&#8217;s comfort foods were it had to be both easy and quick to make, and it could not have a lot of ingredients to prep. Most of the recipes, I will be demonstrating have my seal of approval for taste and ease in preparation &#8230;</p>
