Im going to start the south beach diet. I do ab workouts but want to lose 2 LBS. If I don;t eat any carbs will that fat go away?

Mr Yang, Yes you can. I am on Phase one of south beach in my 3rd day and I have already lost a few pounds, however this diet it not meant to be treated like a horse you just hop on and then hop off. It's a life style plan you need to stick to.

    It really depends on how fat you are to begin with. If you are fairly thin already, I'm not sure what's going to happen. I lost 15lbs in 11 days without any exercise on phase 1 of the SBD.

    No offense but any diet is unhealthy in two ways. The first is that it only works for so long before your body crashes. When that happens you will gain a lot of water weight and it may be more than your original starting weight.

    The best possible thing to do would be to work out regularly for three or four days a week for 20-45 minutes, and to eat a balanced diet.
