Low Fat , High Protean Low Cab , Calorie counting or what.
IMO, the best diet is no diet. Just eat right.
Get out all the food that you don’t want to eat out of your house. Also make up your mind how you are going to eat & stay with that way of eating when you are home, when you go out to eat, when you are at work, at friends houses, or whenever.
Eat a balanced diet of whole grains, veggies, fruit, meat, fish, & occasional desserts. Exercise 5-7 times a week. You don’t have to exercise hard but you need to exercise. Drink plenty of water every day.
If you follow these guidelines, you will get your body into the shape that you want it to be.
Good Luck!

There really isn’t an easy way about the “best diet”. You really need to find one that works for you and your body. The most important part about dieting is to stay dedicated to it. There are good fats and bad fats. You want to stay away from bad fat found in many foods and eat a decent amount of good fats. Some good fats are found in nuts which fights obesity, and olive oil. You definitely want to avoid trans fats. As far as protein goes, you need to find how much to consume by multiplying 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per pound to your body weight. You want to get a nice lean protein shake as well not a weight gainer. You also want to eat carbs but good ones found in vegetables not products like white bread and rice instead eat wheat bread and a brown grain rice. For a snack you want to eat things like hard boiled egg whites. It is also important to consume the correct amount of calories for the day because your body needs to burn them in order to maintain your metabolism. Drink at least 8 glasses of ice cold water a day too. To find the best diet for you and your body i highly recommend meeting with a nutritionist so you can get a diet that is custom to you and your body.

None, diets do not work.
You do have to count calories to a certain extent to know what you can eat but common sense prevails. A salad with grilled chicken and a tiny bit of dressing and all veggies is obviously far more healthy and less caloric than a bacon cheeseburger.

Fat burns fat. If you don't eat enough healthy fat, your body stores your own. Low fat diets make you fat for that reason plus they are also too rich in carbs. Low carb diets are starvation diets. You gain it back once you go off of it. BALANCE is the answer (to everything in life)

Most of the things you have learned about dieting over the years were either bad for your body, or just bad advice. For example, the Atkins diet craze was one of the worst diets that ever came along. By not eating carbs, you are not providing your body with the fuel it needs to function. So guess what happens? It doesn’t function properly! Strip That Fat will open your eyes to what a diet should be and what it shouldn’t be. A diet should be a lifestyle, but a diet SHOULD NOT be something that you dread. It should be easy enough to incorporate into your day-to-day and become second nature. This is the only diet I have ever seen that will teach you how your body works and how to manipulate what you eat and how you exercise for MAXIMUM weight loss results. Most diets you will come across will have side effects like feeling sick, unhealthy, starved, or just ridiculous (like eating cookies for dinner!!!). Strip That Fat will make you feel none of these. Rather it will make you feel “healthy”…that is the goal isn’t it? Strip That Fat includes a full guide to dieting and shows you how to burn more calories while doing less. If you burn more calories, guess what? You lose more weight. It doesn’t restrict how much you eat either, which is the part that is usually the most frustrating for dieters.
