Popular LivinLaVidaLowCarb.com blogger Jimmy Moore and his adorable wife Christine bring up the rather frustrating subject of being “on the Atkins diet” in this episode. Jimmy shares his frustration with those people who think they know how to do the low-carb diet when they’ve never even cracked open a single book about it. NEWSFLASH: It’s not just meat, eggs, and cheese all day long people! If you want to do the Atkins diet, then you need to read DR. ATKINS’ NEW DIET REVOLUTION available on …

That’s true …
That’s true amberview30. But you are a lot more likely to be successful if you do read DR. ATKINS’ NEW DIET REVOLUTION, for example, than if you simply relied on what you “heard” about it. There’s so misinformation floating around out there that you can’t know who you can trust. Going back to the book will eliminate that worry. CONGRATS on your success!

I don’t necessarily …
I don’t necessarily think you have to read the book to do the atkins diet, but you do have to do your research.Now-a-days you can get a lot of information from the internet, like your blog for example.I did it by the book, but I didn’t read “his” books before starting. I had a mentor though. I do agree that most people should read the book, because its hard to know what’s accurate.I did read the “Atkins for Life Book”, but it was after I lost the weight.I’m one year with the 30 lbs gone.

THANKS for sharing, …
THANKS for sharing, Andy. But that is not accurate information. The late great Dr. Robert C. Atkins experienced a slip and fall accident on some ice in New York and died from the injury to his head. He did not die from the Atkins diet.

Hi, Christine and …
Hi, Christine and Jimmy! I just love the videos. I am fixing on re-reading my DANDR and starting up again. I feel so yucky when I eat too much carbs. Christine, your hair style really suits you! Jimmy-look back at Episode 8, your hair pulled onto your forehead looks better than parted and swept to the side hair. Keep up the great work ya’ll are doing!

No bother at all …
No bother at all and those are EXCELLENT questions. It’s more important to get your diet right first than to worry about exercise right now. I did my fair share of cardio, but changing to a low-carb diet was the key. If you are following low-carb, then you may be able to come off of insulin. E-mail me.

I have a question, …
I have a question, well a few. I am a diabetic now and am on insulin four times a day, can I get enough carbs to keep my sugar levels up? I am also in a wheel chair, so how much was exercise a part of your loss? Sorry to be a bother, I think you two are great!

People should check their local Goodwill and/or Salavation Army or Thrift store. I bought my Atkins book for $.50 at the Salvation Army Store. I am reading Living the Low Carb Life right now. It’s an awesome book.

It’s probably a …
It’s probably a good idea to make it an annual ritual to read the book again so you NEVER forget the principles that got you started on the journey to better health in the first place. And branch out into other low-carb plans to glean lessons from those, too.

You guys really are …
You guys really are the cutest couple!! It’s also great to read the book b/c it explains the whole cycle of what sugar etc. does to you. Actually, I read the book but it’s been a long time ago. I think I better read it again!

GREAT JOB, Linda! …
GREAT JOB, Linda! The surefire way of failing to succeed on your low-carb lifestyle is to ume you know all about it without ever actually knowing what it is from the experts first. It’s a lesson far too many people make! THANKS for watching our videos!

Hey Jimmy! This isn’t about this particular video (which is GREAT advice, by the way), but I’ve been trying to figure out what those brown things are at the end of all your videos! They look like wide slices of dry beef jerky! What IS that?

THANKS for watching, Olivia! And I’m so proud of you for starting the Atkins diet by the book. As much as has been said about the late great Dr. Robert C. Atkins over the years, the man knew what he was talking about. Follow his wisdom and you can’t help but succeed! Let me know how I can help you in this journey!

Loved this video, …
I learned so much! I’m currently on Day 5 of induction, plus I have the flu (not the induction flu, but a regular flu), so it’s fun city here (NOT!). But I read your book after GCBC and I am motivated to persevere no matter what. Your story of your ten week plateau inspired me. Thanks, Olivia
Loved this video, extremely funny & great advice! I’d thought I was doing Atkins because I reduced my carbs from about 300g-500g per day to about 100g per day. Then I read the book
