I did the Adkins Diet 2.5 years ago. One of the side effects was muscule cramps. Even today I get these cramps. Before Adkins I never had this problem. Today I am on normal, balanced diet. Did I damage my body with Adkins?

you need carbs to keep your brain functioning. correct carbs. you also need to have some fats in your diet.

i'm a hairstylist and had a client a few years ago who had lost a lot of weight on adkins diet – however her hair went prematurely grey, started to fall out , and would not hold color for more than 2-3 weeks. she slept all the time (always tired) and her kids said,' since mom's gotten thin she's a B*TCH'.

now she lives by adkins every other to every 3 days. still the same so i don't know if permanent damage was done or not, but she prefers it to being thicker

My freind and I were talking today and I told her that I really dont like meat all that much, I made the joke that if I could do a "reverse adkins diet" I would love it, she said she had heard that if you cut the meat out of your diet you could lose weight. Is that true?

I don't think that is true. It seems to be that carbohydrates are what make people fat.
